Internet Explorer problems

Although IE seems to work most of the time, there are some sites I cannot access. www.hp.com being one. This site gives me the dreaded “cannot find server” message. It bugs me why it is only half a dozen sites this always happens to.

I am using IE6 and Win98. Are there any suggestions?
