Internet Information Server

I will soon be working for a company and have been recently contemplating setting up IIS for their intranet. I figured it’s already a part of NT why not utilize it. For document sharing etc.eventually remote access etc.. (They are running NT 4 Service Pack 6.)
I have heard some advice like having this run on a server other than the PDC.

I am new to the NT world could anyone please offer some direction,advice or reference material/websites on this subject? Can’t seem to find much subject matter on this topic…
