Internet Printing doesn’t show printers

by jpublicsmartgate . Updated 25 years ago

I am running Windows 2000 advanced server SP1, and am trying to configure internet printing.

I have installed and published the printers, and can print to them just fine.

I can even browse to the printers via Internet Explorer (e.g. http://myserver/printers) and it works fine.

This is dandy, but not much good unless you can print to those printers via the internet.

If I try to bring up that same web page from the internet (http://www.myserver.com/printers) it doesn’t list any printers. It shows the web page from IIS and everything looks good except no printers are listed!

Any help is appreciated.

On a side note, if I use my FQDN to access my printers (www.myserver.com/printers), I get Error Code: 80070035, Note: Get ADSIprinters. But this isn’t bothering me much because if I use the static IP address instead, (e.g. http://#.#.#.#/printers) it works fine.

Thanks,
