Internet Troubles with Toshiba Laptops

I am having problems connecting some toshiba laptops to the internet. The laptops connect to the internet but get an error when trying to pull up web pages. I have tried updating the drivers for the network cards and nothing seems to work. Any information would be very helpfull.
