Invalid Page Fault

I get an Invalid page fault at module (unknown) whenever I seem to start up a program. It seems to be limitted to either microsoft programs or 32 bit ones not sure which yet. I had upgraded to IE explorer 6.0 thought that was the problem and went back but its still there. I run Norton antivirus, (and keep it up to date)and noticed that when I started up Word (Office 200) and clicked off the warning box a few times I noticed a message in Word asking or waiting for virus scan. I have scanned and I have no viruses. I looked on the Symantec Web site have seen no info regarding this any help??
