invalid page faults

I have a user’s PC that is really starting to frustrate me. Any application that uses the internet returns an invalid page fault in module unknown upon opening. She can log onto the local network and browse/work fine but she cannot use Internet explorer or Outlook. I’ve reinstalled Windows 98 and it’s still happening. Anyone out there have any ideas?
