Inverter replaced on laptop no results

I just recently had my laptop’s inverter replaced because of a dark screen with faint desktop icons still being visible. Which i guess is common practice in fixing this issue. I dont feel like purchasing a whole new display or monitor for my laptop considering it is a 1000 dollar laptop barely over a year old. Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong??? This problem occurred for me when i was in france power surge? someone else suggested a lose connectin between my ground connection that goes thru the hinge area? Thanks for the time if anyone has any ideas..
