Invisible Active Directory

My company is in the process of converting from WinNT4 to Win2k and Active Directory. We have the framework done for the AD but when I joined my laptop to the new domain the directory folder is not showing up in My Network Places. We think that itis a problem with my computer once being on the old domain but are not sure. We have tested from a new domain only computer and it is visible. Any ideas on how to fix this without reformatting my computer.
