I sent my dropped hard drive to the store where I purchased it from. However the person-in-charge is not in the best position to do the inspection. As such, she passed to someone who I may not know about the background of that person. After 1 week, I was told that NONE of my data could be retrieved.
I am not sure about the level of damage caused to my hard drive after the dropping but I can just hear the clicking sound from inner part of my hard drive when I tried to plug it to my laptop.
My question is… is it possible that I can’t even get back 1% (of course I am looking for 100% data recovery) of data stored? The reason why am I asking this question is because the person-in-charge of the store told me that NOT to try else where as it won’t work at all. Is it true?
