Is my h.d. compatible with NT ?

I have a computer running Win98 how can I look up the hard drive type with out having to open the computer so that I can check to see if the hard drive is compatible with NT 4.0 ? I tryed the my computer device manager but all it tells me is that it’s a ide drive.
