IT Debate: Is Windows XP worth it?

Even though many companies haven?t upgraded to Windows 2000?or for that matter, upgraded from Windows 95?Microsoft is well on its way to releasing another OS. But Gartner views Windows XP as a minor service release for Windows 2000 and contends thatusers will not have to upgrade to XP but will be able to operate both in the same environment.

What?s your take on Microsoft’s latest release? Do you think Windows XP addresses legitimate business needs?or is this simply a marketing move? What plans does your organization have for Windows 2000 and XP?
