JBuilder 5 IDE Preformance

I am user JBuilder 5 Professional on a laptop, a 333Mhz AMD Processor. I can be doing something as simple as chaning a property in there design view and wait up to 5 minutes for the applicaiton to recover. Has anyone dealt with this?
