join domain

I have 2 win2k servers with active directory.
When I try to have a win 2k pro pc join the domain I get message it could not find domain. but it will see the 2 controllers when it is in workgroup with same name as domain. I have tcp address and subnetmask ok.
But can not get it to join domain. One other error message I get is its credentials is conflicting. Thanks
