jpg thumbnail

I cannot view thumbnail of pictures downloaded as jpg files – tried folder options and changed file associations to match jpeg and gif files and enabled the active desktop figuring if it runs like a web page, the graphics will be displayed the same but no. There are over 1000 of these so editing them individually is a little too much. OS is Windows 98 SE with all updates loaded as of 3/17/02. Okay whatcha got?
