Laptop CD/DVD drive

I recently installed a new dvd/cd drive for my toshiba satellite p15-s409 laptop, but it the computer doesnt recognize it. I check BIOS and it said it was on “BOTH” (primary and secondary). I also tried to go to hardware devices, but there is no cd/dvd icon. I don’t know what to do….Thanks for your help…
