Laptop Logins

I have 3 laptops in the organization. They work fine when they are connected to the network and can be authenticated by the Domain Controller. The problem that I have is when users take the laptops home and cannot connect with the DC sometimes they can log on and other times they can’t. Any help is greatly appreciated.
