Laptop/notebook

I have a Compaq presario 2710us I need to take apart, any tips\help will be appreciated. Keyboard,mouse not working. Ribbon cable for DVD player needs replacement. Laptop was dropped. dvd player came completely out. Works with a external keyboard. How would I test the onboard keyboard? Did notice the drivers are missing for Both internal keyboard\mouse, but still needs to come apart to repair ribbon cable and dvd play rails
