Laptop won’t run off of battery

Hi,
I have a Digital HiNote Ultra CT475 laptop, and i was using it the other day when it went into sleep mode. It has done this before, but this time it wouldn’t wake up. I did some experimenting with it, and I can’t get it to run off of the battery. I know the battery is charged, and the contacts seem to look good. Any ideas what the problem is?
