Laserjet Problem

We have an HP 8150n that has a solid output on the LCD display … no information, just solid blocks. No communication to computers either. All 3 lights stay on also. Removing / reseating memory and expansion boards do not help. We are considering replacing the large removable expansion board the memory and expansion cards sit on (not sure about terminology here). Any thoughts?
