Length of group name

When using the “net localgroup /add” command, what is the maximum length of the name of the group you are adding. Example, I’m using a batch file to add the local group “abcd workstation admins – dlg” and I get a syntax error. I shortened the name to “abcd ws admin – dlg” and it worked. Would like to know the max so I don’t run into this problem again. Thanks
