Like dirty volume knob on old radio?

When I’m playing a game like racing the game does not run smooth.It’s loik skipping alot. Also the sound coming from my speakers make a cracking noise.I dont know how to fix these problems or what to replace to fix these problems. I dont know PC names of the parts I would need to replace if thats what I have to do.
