Linksys Router

After configuring the new Linksys router(wired) to run my network, my internet web page loading tend to be slower than the old one. The router is set with an Static IP address. Is there anything else I need to do to the router? I have tried to match it with the old one as much as possible, except some of the new features in the new router.
Please help.
