I have a HP Omnibook 4150 laptop running NT 4.0 and Service pack 5.
I would like to be able to remove the floppy disk drive and install the cd-rom drive without having to reboot. Is there any way to make it load the drivers? Can it be done if booting from a startup disk?
I have purchased a used laptop from a now defunct company and I did not get a working password to enter the F2 setup function. I would like to format the hardrive to remove all their old applications and data and just reinstall Windows98. The problem is that the floppy disk drive is bootable but not the cd-rom drive. I only have Windows98 on CD which begats the problem. I have not had any luck thus far in using Lophtcrack 2.5 to “crack” a viable password. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
