In our network some users use their laptops. When they are disconnected from the network but want to work on their PCs in some cases they just log in and system responds that “domain controller could not be found and user will be logged in using cashed information” – this is quite good because than user has his personal settings and stuff at the right place, but in some other cases windows just responds that “domain controller could not be located” and that’s it. I had to create local user account to give people a chance to work without a network and then, obviously, user gets another desktop and environment. Is there any certain way to set this behaviour explicitly? How can I make WinNT to always use cashed information when DC is unavailable?
