login multiple domains/manage profiles

by ssgmiami . Updated 24 years, 8 months ago

I am a software application consultant. In the course of a day I may visit several clients and login to their domain with my Windows 98 notebook for training, troubleshooting, internet access, etc. Until recently I have been using 3Com Mobil Connection manager to handle the switching of IP configurations, default printers and domain names. It worked great.

I have now switched to Win 2000 Pro on the laptop and am having trouble managing my email settings. Every time I login to a new domain I get a new profile which means that I get a different set of inbox, outbox, sent mail folders, a new address book etc. in Outlook Express. I have figured out how to point the mail folders to the same location, but I haven?t figured out how to use a single address book. Is there a way to do this?

I guess an even broader question would be, is there a way to just use one profile no matter Domain I log in to? If not, Win 2000 is a real pain for people who visit multiple sites.
