Logon failure

I have a secondary server that is a member server in my domain. For some reason, when I share directories from the second server (win2k server), it appears to share them fine, and I give all appropriate permissions, but when users attempt to hit these shares even though they are authenticated with the DC, it replies with “Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer
