Logon script problem

I have 2 Win98 clients in a single domain. When the logon script runs, it causes the machines to crash. The screen fragments into approx 10 parts, and then freezes altogether.
All the other domain clients are not affected,even though they are identical machines. I think it may be something to do with the resolution, but i don’t know how to resolve the problem.
