Logon scripts

I am trying to set up logon scripts for my users and it isn’t working. I am running NT4 with SP6 as my PDC. I have created the batch files and placed them in C:\winnt\system32\repl\import\scripts which I understand to be the default location. I put the name of the file (logon.bat)in the Script name dialog box in the User Profile. It does not work. The batch file works if I run it locally but not when I log in. At the moment all I am trying to do is map network drives. What am I doing wrong?
