Logon Scripts

I have about 20 Win2k machines (which i did not build)that will not run logon scripts. The NETLOGON folder opens, but the scripts are not running. Permissions is not an issue on the NETLOGON share (Auth and Domain Users have permission to read/execute). Basically, when the user logs in, the Netlogon share opens (can see the scripts and run them by double-clicking), but they will not execute?? Help please!!
