I have a rather irritating problem with a machine that I have just installed Windows 98 on. I cannot get it to log onto the network. The problem is that I cannot bring up the Network Log on box, or any log on box for that matter. In the network settings I have the Primary Network Logon set to Client For Microsoft Networks, and in the CFMN properties I have the Log on to Network box ticked, and the domain name entered in. I also have the domain name entered in on the identification tab in the Workgroup otion. There is nothing wrong with the network card as it picks up an IP address from our DHCP server, and can ping our network.
I have also been unable to get the computer to use the windows logon or any other form of logging on. I have also reinstalled win98 on the computer and have had the same result.
Any ideas.
