Long list of NEW in Win Explorer

Does anyone know how to control the list of pop-up menu at Win explorer/File/New. It just freeze for 1o seconds and give me a long list of file association list which I seldom use. The same “New” pop up when right click at an empty desktop space.
Appreciate any possible hints…
