Greetings all,
I am a Field Tech and recently my company started having us troubleshoot standalone PCs that are in the field in our areas. The issue however is this…the pcs don’t have a mouse, keyboard, or a monitor. They are truly standalone, lol. While they have VGA, NIC, USB, PS/2 ports etc…these pcs serve a very special function as they are hooked up to the NIC and a local printer which prints out batch reports. So when they asked us to support these guys, what we are all doing is hooking them up to a 14″ monitor, keyboard, and mouse and it is quite cumbersome.
So my question is Does anyone know of a device that has a mouse, keyboard, and a display with attached wires that can immediately be hooked up to these PCs? I am talking about something like a portable DVD players size type device which has a small display, a keyboard, a mouse/touchpad…Any help in this matter is appreciated. Thanks.
