Loose DMA setting on CDROM

I can’t keep the settings in the device manager in Windows 98se. I set the DMA and reboot, and after the settings are gone. I am using a ABIT K7A-Raid motherboard, with 512 Ram, 2 Maxtor Mirrored on the Raid Controller, and 1 30 Gig as a secondary on the Raid. I have 2 CDRoms, a Panasonic 114 DVD, and a Toshiba RW both are on the master position of the Primary and Secondary Controller. The Processeor is a 1.2 Athalon.
