Loss of Msg.downloads on multiple P/C’s

Presently have 4 p/c using OE 6.0 & they all have to be connected continously or I will loose message downloads on two or more p/cs. I have the ‘leave msg on server’ checked but it does not
seem to help. Any suggestions?
