Low of virtual memory

Hello,
we have installed Windows 2000 Profesional without ServicePack1. We have about 4 GB of a free space on the hard drive and after installing some HP Deskjet printer we got an error message “Low of virtual memory”. The swap file is located on the hard drive. Any idea?
