Low Physical Memory

I am running win2000 with 128mb ram. I was trying to import a text file into access 2000. I get an error that I ran out of memory and I couldn’t finish the import. I stopped most of the tasks running on the task bar. Still no go. Is there some settings I can do to tweak the performance so I don’t get this error again?
