M1 MacBook Battery Drain on Standby – Anyone Else?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been using an M1 MacBook Air (2021) for about two years now, and overall it’s been great. However, lately I’ve noticed something odd: the battery seems to drain quite a bit while in sleep/standby mode. I used to be able to close the lid and come back two days later with barely any change in battery percentage. Now it drops by 15–20% overnight.

I’ve tried the usual stuff:

Disabled Power Nap

Turned off Bluetooth before closing the lid

Closed all apps before sleep

Reset SMC and NVRAM

I’m on macOS Sonoma 14.5 (latest update as of this post). Has anyone else experienced this? Any known fixes or logs I should check to diagnose?

Appreciate any insights or even just to know I’m not the only one!
