Mail is trunctated in NT 4

Then using a “malito:” link in a form, the message is always trunctated to 260 characters (using either the ‘GET’ or ‘POST’ method in a form).
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a limitation in NT4(Q269272), depending upon a limited buffesize in the Shell-function (ShellExecute). Microsofts soulution is to create a temporary shortcutfile (Q263909)but
I am looking for a soulution on browser/script level.
Does anyone have an idea?
