We have an Exchange 5.5 Server w/SP 4 installed. Everything has worked great for months now. The other day I modified the properties of some distribution lists (removed MS, CC and x.400 addresses) and the problems started. After finally rebuilding the dist. lists because they stopped working we now are seeing messages being stuck in users’ Outbox. Now, messages that are addressed to individual users within the domain are sitting in the Outbox. Mail is still arriving and some mail can stillgo out. There doesn’t seem to be a pattern as to why some messages simply won’t go out. Also, on some clients I can send to a particular individual or dist list no problem. On the next computer I can not. So, it is not likely a recipient mailboxproblem.
I have restarted the PCs with the problem Outlook clients. I have reinstalled the OL client. I have examined the event logs on client and server and visited MS support site. I have considered reinstalling Exch 5.5 SP 4 but that is my only idea.
Has anybody else seen this problem?
