Make shared folder appear as CD-ROM

I want to copy the Streets and Trips 2000 CD to a folder for faster access to the data, but the program just asks for the CD, it doesn’t ask for a location. How can I make a folder appear to Win2K as a CD-ROM drive? Can this be done in Win98 or NT?
