I am having a problem mapping drives.
Computer A:
Win XP Pro SP2
Computer B:
Win XP Home SP2
A can map B’s drives and see everything fine from A or B in My Network Places.
B can print on A’s printer and can see A in the workgroup but I cannot map to any drives (I just get a “network path \\server\share could not be found”).
I have shared a drive on A with simple sharing and with an admin share. But then if I try to include anyone outside of A’s physical logon ID’s I cannot see them, just the workgroup name.
They are both in the same workgroup, I can see both computer names from both computers, I can print on both computers printers from either computer.
Please can someone help. I am an amatuer at networking, but I have spent 3 days trying every possible combination of setups to get this working (obviously not the right one though )
