Master Doc TOC Corrupting Subdocuments

by mlgcarroll . Updated 18 years, 7 months ago

We started off with several template-made chapter docs. Some of these were quite long with many file-placed-word-template graphics and styles were applied to all text.

Then we tested making a master document (MD) TOC and that is when things began to get corrupted. We kept the TOC document separate physically but I guess by definition, a MD is linked behind the scenes, right? Anyway, a few weeks passed, and I noticed the bullets in several of the chapters had their styles falling off. So I stopped using the MD Toc for this report and we are making it manually by initially cutting and pasting and then updating it when the next revision comes through.

Has anyone else had a similar experience or one with a MD TOC corrupting individual chapters?
