MCSE Certification …should I wait??

I’m 21yrs old and have been working in the IT field for the past 3yrs.I have an associate degree in computer science and i’m persuing a BSc in Computer Science and Accounts part time.I’ve decided to go into network administration and i want to do the MCSE program.But NT 4.0 exam is about to be retired so should i go and start with the NT 4.0 or should i do the 2000???What are the benefits of one over the other?? Thanks.
