ME and files=

A dos application requires 200 open files on the client machine and ME comes set with files=10 in the config.sys in the EBD folder. Changing that config.sys to files=250 does nothing to correct the “too many open files” stop in the dos program. The Win. 95,98, NT, and 2000 client machines are no problem in that I change the files= setting in the proper place. My problem is that I can not locate the “proper place” in ME. Any suggestions appreciated.
