ME?2000 network

I have networked a MS2000 pro notebook and an ME desktop computer together with file and print sharing enabled. I can access the ME computer from the 2000 machine, but when I try to access the 2ooo machine from the ME machine it asks for a password.I did not set the permission to need a passoword.
Any ideas?
