Hi,
I have loaded sound driver for windows 2000 but in the media player it skips many frames of the movie or MP3 in media player in between so the overall effect is very weird. It occurs only after loading sound driver. The sound driver is creativevibra 128 bit. On the cover of this sound card it says compatible with windows 2000. Is it because of my NTFS file syste.
Whats the remedy.
Thanks
Vijay
1. Check your IDE bus master drivers for the W2K installation. Make sure they are up to date and working properly.
2. What media player are you using? Is it using the Audio cable from the CD, or the digital data from the IDE cable? This will help you track down the cause.
If your media player is Windows Media Player, it does use the digital data, and not the audio.
If updating the IDE driver doesn’t help, try re-installing the media player.
If you are attempting to use the same install of the media player in both OSs, that may be part of your problem also.

sound is not workin properly
Guys ,
I have dual boot on my system with win 2k and wind XP with all in NTFS. I just loaded creative vibra 128 bit sound card. In XP eveerythingis working properly but in WIn 2k , when i play mp3s or anyother music files from CD ROM it gives distortion (like repeating or skipping. like ohh rain is fafafafafa lling ) every say one min or half a min. WHat can be the problem. The same music file if i copy on hard disk and run it plays good. In XP CD ROM is not giving any such problem. Shoould i Reinstall win2k. is it installation problem?
regards
Vijay
