Media Player Classic Loading Slowly?

Hi guys, this question is for my sister. Lately, when she opens up media player classic, it’ll stay at the “loading” part for a long time…maybe a couple minutes, before it’ll start playing. This problem seems to have appeared out of nowhere. Anybody know why this could be? She’s running Windows XP SP2, 1 gig RAM, and keeps her comp clean spyware/virus-wise.
