Media Player in Windows XP Pro

One of our XP Pro users has encountered a problem whereby when she tries to play a music CD in Media Player, an error message pops up saying “Unspecified Error”. There is a button tagged More Help, but when you click it, it says help not available.
The hardware is working properly as she is able to play the CDs in RealPlayer.

Has anyone seen this and knows how to fix it?
