Media Player Problem

I have an issue with Windows Media Player, Version 10.

I play videos but it doesnt have any sound, I know its not a speaker/sound card problem. Because I can hear all the other sounds windows makes, like “click” sounds, the “dong” “ding” ” buzzer” sounds. Just not in Media Player.

Any suggestions? Upgrading to 11 is an option, i just dont like it as much, so any other suggestions?
