Menu Access Keys in Visual Basic

I know this must be simple – but here goes…
Creating menus using the the menu editor in VB6 – in the Caption typing &File so that File will have the F underlined as an access key. Looks great in Design mode – but when I go into run mode or compile my project the underline is gone? What am I missing?
